Destiny: The Dark Below

The Dark Below is the first expansion to an AAA MMOFPS game from Bungie Software, the creators of Halo series. It aims to expand the gameplay with new missions, items, and experience levels.

The story missions in the expansion focus on a new threat from the alien race of the Hive – human’s long-time enemy. A mysterious character, Eris, brings warning that of their attempts to summon a god, Crota, in order to destroy the Earth. Players have to prevent that from happening.

Fans continue the game playing as the same characters they created at the start of the game – the Guardians of the last earthly bastion of the human kind. The Dark Below allows you to reach two more experience levels, as the cap is raised to 32. To help you in that, the developers prepared, aside from story missions, a multiplayer Raid and a Strike, which are tied to the main plot of the expansion. Doing them is rewarded with new weapons, sets of armors, and other gear. Besides, The Dark Below introduces three competitive arenas: Pantheon (hidden inside a Vex temple, within the Black Garden, where tight corridors are interwoven with an open thoroughfare), The Cauldron (an abandoned Hive ritual site, designed for close-quarter combat), and Skyshock (an interplanetary defense array, where you can fight not only on foot, but also from behind a wheel of vehicles).
