Destiny 2 is a sequel to the best-selling FPS developed by Bungie Software. This time, Bungie is aided in the development process by Vicarious Visions, creators of Skylanders and some other games. Destiny 2 introduces many new changes and improvements, not only concerning the story (this time, the story will play a bigger part than in the first game), but also in the gameplay mechanics.
Destiny 2 is a direct sequel to the best-selling FPP game with MMO elements developed by Bungie Software in cooperation with Vicarious Games, known for working on several installments in the Guitar Hero series, the Skylanders franchise, and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Like its predecessor, the game has been published by Activision Blizzard. Apart from PlayStation 4, the game is also available on Xbox One and PC Windows – the first installment has not been published on the last platform. The PC Windows version of Destiny 2 stands out in of its visuals, ing 4K and limitless FPS.
The action of Destiny 2 for PC, PS4 and XONE is set after the events shown in the previous installment. The Last City was destroyed by the sinister Red Legion led by Ghaul. Those, who survived, have scattered throughout the galaxy and it is up to the player to once again unite them for the final battle with the enemy forces and regain the lost powers. The story plays a much more significant role than in the original installment - a player gets to follow the story by watching multiple cutscenes.
Similarly to its predecessor, in Destiny 2 for PC, PS4 and XONE, a player begins his journey from creating his own character. Gameplay revolves around exploration, completing consecutive story and secondary missions, as well as cooperating in multiplayer missions in order to develop one's character and acquiring better, more exotic pieces of gear. The developers have listened to the suggestions from the gaming community and implemented numerous improvements into the formula - players can now explore better-designed and much larger planets, on which there are many places hiding hidden treasures, unique bosses, and side missions.
Players cannot import the characters they created in the first installment of the series - the developers decided to allow all the players to have a chance for a fresh start – this means both the ones, who have already played Destiny and those who begin their adventure with the series.
Even though Destiny 2 offers a solid single player mode, the gameplay gets momentum in the multiplayer experience - apart from the story mode, the game offers also a wide range of additional modes, such as 6-player and 3-player raids, short Strike missions, and multiple PvP modes.
In Destiny 2 for PC, PS4 and XONE, players are bound to appreciate polished details of the 3D visuals. The atmosphere of this epic tale is even stronger thanks to the dedicated soundtrack.
