SYNDUALITY is a sci-fi third-person shooter. The project was developed by the Game Studio team, which is also known for Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai.

Plot

The game is set in the year 2222. A few years earlier, human civilization was almost completely destroyed by the fallout of a toxic rainfall known as "Tears of the New Moon," which led to the death of most humans and the birth of mutant beasts that preyed on the survivors of our species.

To survive, human survivors are forced to build an underground bastion called Amasia. There they encounter advanced Magus artificial intelligences and begin to cooperate with them. Players take on the role of a mecha pilot named Alba Kuze, who goes on expeditions to the surface to collect valuable resources in the form of AO crystals.

SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada is a generic third-person extraction that challenges, engages, then bores.

NextPlay: 6.5 / 10 by Brad Goodwin

Synduality: Echo of Ada is a ton of fun but ultimately struggles to capitalise on the addictive and satisfying gameplay loop it has with a subdued story.

Full Review

The Beta Network: 3 / 10 by Samuel Incze

Synduality: Echo of Ada suffers from uninspired gameplay, sluggish combat and a tedious progression system that fails to deliver the mech-shooter experience promised by its early trailers. While the visuals and performance on PS5 are fine, the lack of any engaging mechanics and frustrating systems make it extremely hard to recommend.
