RWBY: Arrowfell is a metroidvania action platform game. The game is based on the license of a popular web series called RWBY and is a result of cooperation between its authors - Rooster Teeth, WayForward Technologies studio (known for its River City Girls series) and Arc System Worcs company (which was responsible for its release in Japan).

Plot

RWBY: Arrowfell takes us on a journey to the world of Remnant, where four heroines - Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang - guard it from the monsters known as Grimm. The story is written by series writers Kerry Shawcross, Miles Luna and Eddy Rivas and takes place during the events of season seven. This time the protagonists must face both familiar foes and previously unseen threats.

Mechanics

RWBY: Arrowfell is a side-scroller. During the game we take control over chosen character and we wander different locations known from the series, like Atlas or Mantle. Exploring them, we face the hordes of enemies, fighting with them fierce, dynamic battles. Among the enemies, powerful bosses are leading the way. We also jump on platforms and avoid numerous terrain obstacles and traps. Over time, the paths of our charges cross with characters known from the series, such as General Ironwood, as well as with previously unknown heroes, the group of Team BRIR.

Technical aspects

The graphic design of RWBY: Arrowfell is kept in the manga style known from the series' original. The characters are played by actors known from the original series. In addition, seven minutes of cutscenes were prepared for the game.
