The third add-on for the action RPG from Gunfire Games. Remnant II: The Dark Horizon DLC takes us to a land called N'Erud. We can play as the new Warden archetype, we have the ability to glide, and we can encounter new types of enemies and gather new gear.
Remnant II: The Dark Horizon is the third and final expansion pack for the 2023 action RPG game, titled Remnant II. The DLC was developed by the Gunfire Games team, who oversee the development of the series.
Remnant II: The Dark Horizon takes us to N'Erud – the necropolis world. This land has been taken over by rebellious artificial intelligence and its dangerous robots, while its horizon is dominated by a gigantic creature. Although our primary goal is to defeat the huge monster, during the game we have to face a series of other dangers and uncover the remaining secrets of this place.
Remnant II: The Dark Horizon brings a number of new features. The first of them is a new character archetype, namely The Warden, who has a drone that can shield him, provide healing and attack enemies, making this device an indispensable on the battlefield. Additionally, the DLC introduces a new movement system, allowing us to glide over the land of N’Erud.
New equipment has also been prepared for the expansion, such as previously unavailable weapons, modifications, amulets, and rings. The icing on the cake is the opportunity to meet new characters and defeat opponents with whom we have not had the chance to compete before. The expansion also features new bosses, including the boss of the world reigning over N'Erud.
Similar to the base version of the game, in Remnant II: The Dark Horizon we can play alone or in online co-op mode for up to three people.
Remnant II: The Dark Horizon is not a standalone DLC and therefore requires the base game Remnant II.
Along with the launch of The Dark Horizon expansion, the base version of Remnant II received a free update introducing a new gameplay variant - Boss Rush.

Game Ratings for Remnant II: The Dark Horizon Video Game.
CGMagazine: 7 / 10 by Matt Keith
Remnant II: The Dark Horizon's lacklustre story mixed with a shallow villain makes for a bland playthrough narratively. However, the new Warden Archetype, refined prism system, excellent new loot and new zones on N’Erud help pull the DLC up by its boots straps.

Well, here we are. Remnant 2 - The Dark Horizon might be the final DLC for Remnant 2, but it isn’t going out without a bang. The new area of N'Erud, while smaller, is quite different from the base game and much more interesting. The combat mechanics remain as engaging as ever, making gameplay a blast. The update to the Fragments system and the addition of Prisms provide even more customization options. Plus, the Boss Rush mode is a lot of fun when playing with others.

Remnant II Dark Horizon is an extremely fun DLC that caps the game off in a brilliant way. Sure, there is no expansion to the main story but there didn't need to be. Instead, the story of N'Erud is finished in a fun way.
