Mechanics

In Ixion we observe the action from the top-down view. During the game we are responsible for all aspects of the Tiqqun station's functioning. We have to not only take care of its infrastructure and manage its population, but also develop new technologies and constantly face the problems that arise during space travel. All this is complicated by the fact that cut off from any supplies we have to find necessary resources on our own.

The station has been divided into six sectors, within which, as we progress, we build new structures for new crew . During the journey we're not limited to the people with whom we started. With time, we can not only start waking up more astronauts from cryogenic sleep, but also welcome on board of other expeditions or, for example, people pulled from wreckage.

New technologies developed by the scientists on the station allow us to create and send into space reconnaissance probes, and with time, also mining and cargo ships, thanks to which it is possible to trade with other stations. However, you should not forget that the interstellar space is not a safe place; a collision with a piece of space debris is enough for a hole to appear in the hull of the station, and overloaded power generators can easily cause a fire. For this reason, it is worth thinking about a plan B in advance, or at least take care of creating an emergency power supply.

Technical aspects

Ixion has a decent quality graphic design. The whole thing is clear enough to quickly get an idea of the situation on the station.
