Helldivers Video Game Series

For the sequel, titled Helldivers 2, fans had to wait as long as nine years, until 2024. The production appeared on PC and PlayStation 5 and repeated the artistic success of its predecessor, while achieving much greater commercial success. Suffice it to say that just three days after its release it found more than a million buyers, while after less than three months it crossed the barrier of 12 million copies sold. As was the case with the first installment of the series, this item also received widespread after its release.

Games from under the banner Helldivers take us to a science fiction universe, to be precise - to a planet called Super Earth, plagued by attacks from aggressive aliens. In the course of the game we play as elite soldiers who are of the title squad, who, while fighting the invaders, at the same time spread peace, freedom and democracy. The course of the warfare in which they participate is determined by the actions of the entire community of players, who, with a t effort, try to tip the scales of victory to their side. Based on the results of successive conflicts, new plot events and subsequent clashes are created.

While in the first part of the series we watched the action from a bird's eye view, in the second installment of the series Helldivers it is presented from a third-person perspective (TPP). During the gameplay, we take control of one of the soldiers and take part in fierce skirmishes, while trying to achieve the mission objectives set before us. We eliminate enemies, making use of a wide range of firearms and other combat equipment, such as anti-personnel mines, automatic turrets and shield generators. As we progress, we accumulate more advanced equipment and a variety of upgrades, increasing our combat potential.

Although the games in the series Helldivers allow single-player play, they spread their wings only in co-op over the Internet. An important element of the latter is the so-called friendly fire, the presence of which requires teams of players to be in constant and coordinate their actions.
