The second installment in a series of roguelikes with turn-based strategy and jRPG elements. For the King II is, once again, set in the land of Fahrul, where a group of heroes tries to overthrow the tyrannical queen.
For the King II is the second installment in a series of roguelike series with combat reminiscent of turn-based strategies and old-school jRPGs, which originated in 2018. Like the first game, it was developed by IronOak Games and published by Curve Games.
For the King II is, once again, set in the land of Fahrul. The queen, trying to quell the chaos after the king's death, ended up becoming a tyrant. Her guards are everywhere, seeing potential criminals in all citizens. Our playable party decides to put an end to the queen's tyranny.
For the King II is an isometric game. The playable party can consist of several different classes, such as fighters, archers and mages. Exploration is turn-based, having us traverse a vast kingdom made up of hexagonal tiles. Combat is also turn-based, since there are plenty of enemies in Fahrul. To succeed, we must correctly position our characters on the battlefield, make good use of their abilities and equip them well. Powerful weapons and armor can be looted off enemies or found in chests, which are abundant in explored dungeons.
The world of Fahrul is procedurally generated, each run meaning new locations, new quests and adventures. Although death is permanent, some items are permanent unlocks. This means we're a bit stronger each playthrough.
Like the first game, For the King II s singleplayer and co-op.
For the King II retains the first game's cartoonish artstyle. The visuals were improved - the character models and locations are all much more detailed.

Game Ratings for For the King II Video Game.
IGN: 6 / 10 by Jon Bolding
Simple and occasionally even elegant mechanics make this cooperative tabletop-style RPG fun once you get into it, but a lacking interface makes it more difficult to enjoy these straightforward adventures than it should be.
NoobFeed: 70 / 100 by Kurtis Seid
For The King II is very much a board game more than it is an RPG adventure or grand strategy. You should be fully prepared that slots are just random dice rolls that can lead to chaotic events and outcomes. Treat the game as short fun sessions to play with friends rather than a serious ongoing campaign. Just remain aware that you and your associates will need to own four copies.
Rectify Gaming: 8 / 10 by Will Hogeweide
For The King II is a captivating adventure that builds on the legacy of its predecessor, offering engaging gameplay and a visually stunning world to explore. While the game has a few notable flaws, including the feeling that it’s not fully realized at launch and the Battle Grid’s untapped potential, it’s clear that the developers are dedicated to ongoing improvement.
