Fire Emblem: Engage

Many centuries later, the seals holding back evil began to weaken, and the peace of Elyos was once again threatened. To the rescue of the world, the Divine Dragon Alear, awakened from a thousand-year sleep, sets out to try to defeat the resurgent adversary.

Before that, however, he must travel across the continent to find magical rings with which he will summon the bravest heroes from other worlds.

Gameplay mechanics

Turn-based battles fought on small boards return in Fire Emblem: Engage. After taking control of a unit, we can give it the order to move, attack or use a special ability. The key to success is to match the strategy to the type of opponents. With successive victories, our charges gain new levels of experience increasing their effectiveness in battle.

The production also includes exploration. In the course of the game we visit different corners of the continent, learn about its history and inhabitants, as well as stock up on useful equipment.

A novelty introduced in Fire Emblem: Engage are the Emblem Rings, i.e. magical rings that allow us to summon protagonists from previous installments. Thanks to this mechanic, characters well known to fans of the series, such as Marth, Siegfried and Celica, could appear in the game. We, on the other hand, gained the chance to inherit their equipment and skills.

Technical aspects

Graphics in Fire Emblem: Engage is made in a manga style characteristic of the entire series. It is worth mentioning that Japanese illustrator Mika Pikazo, who also designed such virtual youtubers as Hakoz Baelz, Kaguya Luna and Pinky Pop Hepburn, is responsible for the appearance of many characters (including the Divine Dragon).
