  1. Release date: 2021
  2. Why worth the wait: It's an unusual combination of card game and hack'n'slash

Magic: Legends seems to be a great game for hack'n'slash fans who are looking for at least a bit of freshness in the genre. The new production of Cryptic studio doesn't seem to stand out. The story is simple – we play a Planeswalker who will have to find a way to defeat the forces of evil. The fight will take place in a dynamic standard for this genre, observed from isometric perspective. However, the perspective on the game completely changes when we come to how the skill tree was implemented.

Some of our hero's abilities will depend on the deck of cards created during the game, of which only four (chosen at random) can be active at any time. The cards will provide access to various spells (such as summons or standard spells), and their use will require mana of different colors (corresponding to the colors of the spell cards). So, building a versatile deck will be key to success during skirmishes. In Magic: Legends, we can also play in online co-op mode, which is encouraged by the creators themselves, because apparently the fun begins right then. The open beta for this game (PC exclusive) is set to launch on March 23 this year.
