Project Nova - EVE Online Devs Cancelled Another FPS
C informed about the cancellation of the online shooter Project Nova. This is yet another FPS after DUST 514 and Project Legion, which was abandoned by EVE Online developers. However, a new production of this genre is planned.

- Work on Project Nova has been abandoned.
- Elements of the game will be used to develop a new, more ambitious shooter.
- The team in London will focus on this new shooter, and people in Reykjavik have been delegated to other projects.
Known for Project Nova. The game was announced in 2016, but the creators had significant problems with finding the right direction for this production. At the end of 2018 it returned to the design phase, but as you can see it was not enough to save the title.
However, C cannot be denied its stubbornness, as the developer does not intend to abandon the genre. The London-based studio will use Project Nova's elements to develop a new online shooter whose scale is to be much more ambitious than that of the abandoned production. This group is to focus mainly on this game, while the people who previously dealt with the cancelled title in Reykjavik were delegated to other projects.
Let's remind that this is another failure of the team in the FPS genre. In 2013, C released the MMO shooter Project Legion, but this production was abandoned at an early stage.
Both DUST 514 and Project Legion were based on the idea of integrating FPS gameplay with the vast virtual world of EVE Online. In the end, the solution did not work, so Project Nova was conceived as an independent production. The action was set in the same universe, but the results of the battles would not affect the situation in EVE Online. As you can see, despite the change of approach, the authors did not manage to come up with a way to turn the game into something interesting.
The studio's new shooter is announced to be more ambitious than Project Nova. It is therefore possible that the devs will return to MMO elements. Productions such as Warframe or Destiny and Tom Clancy's The Division have shown that such solutions can be popular. After the failures of DUST 514 and Project Legion the creators will probably no longer try to integrate their latest production with EVE Online.
