The new Battlefield will finally step out of the shadows with its official announcement later this month.
For the record, it's not like EA DICE studio was particularly hiding their new shooter. The devs weren't thrilled about the game test leaks, but they also didn't try to pretend (like Valve) that the game doesn't exist. On the contrary, for months we have been receiving official information - the creators have made it clear that this time they want to create a BF like the players want (although not all recent decisions have pleased the fans).
Nonetheless, the EA DICE team is ready to publicly showcase Battlefield 6. At least that's what the comment on the official X series suggests.
It clearly takes into "June" and explosions ("boom"), which strongly suggests an explosive announcement of new BF this month. The post itself is old (from 2021) and, of course, refers to the previous installment of the series. However, Alex Dumbev, the designer of the new game's interface, recently responded to him. The comment has been deleted, but as usual, internet s managed to capture it (via Reddit).
In fact, this shouldn't be a surprise. Even though no one re E3 anymore, the first half of June is still a celebration for players because of other gaming events. These events started yesterday with the newly announced episode of Sony's State of Play. There's also the Summer Game Fest 2025 and Xbox Games Showcase in the following days.
So the developers will have many opportunities to show the world what the new Battlefield looks like - created with fans and for fans. Especially since the game is set to launch no later than March 31, 2026, probably in the fall or before Christmas.
Will the Battlefield fans be satisfied this time, or will they face another disappointment after the Battlefield 2042 letdown? Perhaps the official announcement of the game will bring the answer. For now, fans must arm themselves with patience.
