Nvidia: DLSS 2.1 Will Bring the 8K Era to PC
This is official - DLSS 2.1 technology will see the light of day. Nvidia also provided some details about it, including compatibility with VR sets.

The company's employees have also hosted a questions and answers session on Reddit in order to dispel the biggest doubts about their further actions. Among other things, the topic of DLSS technology and its improvements in the form of DLSS 2.1 was discussed.
There are three elementary updates in this regard. First, the VR titles will now be DLSS compatible. Second, a special 'ultra' performance mode has been added to enable gaming in 8K (on GeForce RTX 3090). Thirdly, it provides for the dynamic resolution and, consequently, real-time changes to smoother gameplay at the expense of a slight quality drop. DLSS 2.1 was first seen a few days ago in Steam database on the page of Wolfenstein: Youngblood.
