CoH and Warhammer 40K Dawn of War creators announced new strategy game. Earth vs Mars looks like Advance Wars and allows experiments straight from Full Metal Alchemist
In Relic Entertainment studio's new turn-based strategy game, we will face off against alien invaders. Earth vs Mars is the result of experiments with smaller games for the developers known for the Company of Heroes series.

Relic Entertainment, the studio known for Company of Heroes series, has announced a new turn-based strategy game called Earth vs Mars. The game is set to offer a somewhat experimental approach to the genre and be a departure from the developer's other hits. You can watch the game's trailer below.
Invasion of the Martians and the secret weapon
In Earth vs Mars, as the title suggests, players will fight against invaders from Mars, who have been secretly visiting Earth for decades, abducting people and animals for genetic experiments. After years of research, however, the time has come for a full-scale invasion.
The main asset of humanity will be the "Splice-O-Tron" - a technology that allows the production of hybrid combat units, combining the features of humans and animals. Supposedly, we will create them from so-called "volunteers" - after all, who wouldn't want to voluntarily become a chimera from Fullmetal Alchemist? As you may have noticed in the game trailer, this mechanic will allow for truly crazy genetic experiments.
Earth vs Mars will offer over 30 missions in the story campaign, a PvP mode for 1-on-1 battles (where players can fight as either Humans or Martians), and a map editor. Relic promises a unique and extensive strategy based on the unique skills of units and commanders - all in a very pleasing graphic design, reminiscent of Advance Wars.
New direction for Relic Entertainment
The studio recently announced a change in business strategy - in addition to working on large RTS titles, Relic will be developing smaller, more experimental games. Earth vs Mars is apparently the first title that fits this model.
Earth vs Mars is the first of our Relic Labs games, which allows us to have some fun, be experimental, and try new ideas with smaller games. We will still be working on big classic real-time-strategy games now and moving forward.
The game will be released in the summer of 2025 on PC (Steam). The developers don't rule out ports for other platforms, depending on the success of the title. You can now add Earth vs Mars to your wishlist on the Valve platform.
