The game evokes strong associations with BioShock Infinite, whether due to stylized graphics or the seemingly bustling city, which is full of steam engines and airships.
Clockwork Revolution - basic information
A short trailer with gameplay footage presented at the Xbox event, as well as an accompanying blog entry by Brian Fargo revealed some basic information about what to expect from Clockwork Revolution.
- It will be a FPP action RPG, in which shooting will play an important role.
- Both in the gameplay and the storyline, a key feature is to be the so-called Chronometer, a device that will make it possible to manipulate time - which will, however, have consequences in the present.
- Players will be given skills or gadgets to help eliminate opponents with the help of an interactive environment.
- One of the main antagonists will be Lady Ironwood, the steward of the utopian city, who has taken power through a time-altering device.
- Both human opponents and robots - the "pride of progress" - will stand in the players' way.
- One of the protagonists - like in BioShock - will be the changing city, Avalon.
As we can read on Xbox's official page dedicated to Clockwork Revolution, this project is a representative of the AAA segment.
Unfortunately, players will have to wait a little longer for the premiere, because the game is currently only in pre-alpha phase. So there is no mention of even an approximate release date.
As a consolation, it is worth mentioning that the game will simultaneously be available on Game on PC and Xbox consoles - the only platforms on which it is scheduled to be released.
