The game begins onboard the Guardians' ship. Peter receives a transmission from Nova Corps, who seeks the assistance of your crew. You are left with a few dialogues that picture Peter's attitude towards the new adventure:

Next, you'll be facing a number of interactive scenes that require you to push the buttons shown on the screen. The sequence will see you avoid the falling debris, a screwdriver to Ratchet, and extinguish Groot using a fire extinguisher.
