Production in which the player's task is to reach the finish line in a continuous race by avoiding obstacles or jumping over them. In the game we play the role of the heroic dog Jerzy Washington.
Washington's Wig, released on PC and X360, is a small production created by an independent Team2bit studio. The developer is also known for Fist Puncher, a beat'em up based on the classics of the genre. Washington's Wig is also a tribute to the pixel titles from decades ago, in which we played only with a single key.
The plot of the game is marginal and very abstract. The place of the action is an unspecified water area covered with ice, and we play as... a dog named Dogsworth McFreedom. He is a loyal companion of George Washington himself, the first President of the United States. Our goal is to return to our master's boat.
Washington's Wig is an old-school arcade game, in which the character constantly runs, and the player's task is, for example, to by obstacles to reach the finish line. We can play in several modes prepared by the authors, such as arcade, time or a race between two players on one computer (on a split-screen). During the game, we have to jump over successively appearing creatures (dogs, birds, crocodiles) or cleverly avoid them.
Thanks to pixel graphics, Washington's Wig brings to mind classic titles from a few decades ago. The backgrounds are quite monotonous, because the action takes place in the same area, and only the number of animals currently displayed on the screen changes.
