Release Date: October 1, 2004
The next installment of the very popular series. This time we can choose between eighteen different varieties of the title billiards. You can choose from several different play modes, including tournament and Quick Game.
Virtual Pool: Tournament Edition is another representative of a very successful series. The first part of Virtual Pool was released in 1995. The games from this series are available on, e.g. Nintendo 64 and PlayStation. Celeris is again responsible for developing this game.
As the title suggests, Virtual Pool focuses on pool games. We receive eighteen of them, including Six Ball, Eight Ball, Honolulu, Cowboy, and Cribbage. As it was the case with the previous titles in this series, the game has a very realistic and detailed physics of individual balls.
Virtual Pool: Tournament Edition offers three basic game modes: Quick Game, Trick Shot and Career. In the first, we play a single match, in the second mode, the game focuses on performing specific tricks. The key point of the game, however, is the extensive career. The player's task is to win the next duels, thanks to which they get promoted to more and more difficult competitions. There are six different locations in the game. It is also worth mentioning that even before you start playing, you can determine the planned level of difficulty. In career mode, we are rewarded not only with new locations but also with more useful poles, thanks to which the performance of particular tricks can become much simpler.
In addition to single-player mode, Virtual Pool: Tournament Edition also offers a standard multiplayer variant in which two players make their moves in turns.
