Plot

After the events presented in the first part of the series, Therion, i.e. its main character, continues his pursuit of the sinister Lord Vroll, who leads him to the edge of the galaxy. To increase his chances of winning, the protagonist decides to use his ultimate weapon - the suit called Mecha Therion.

Mechanics

Valfaris: Mecha Therion is once again a side-scroller, but from time to time the camera changes its position to show the protagonist from the third person perspective. During the game, we dash through a variety of stages and eliminate hordes of enemies, including powerful bosses. Since Mecha Therion has a jetpack at his disposal, we rarely touch the ground while playing. Jetpack allows us not only to quickly move around the boards, but also enables us to make quick dodges and efficiently avoid enemy bullets and traps.

Authors give us various weapons; we can kill enemies with cold weapons (like sword or axe) or using wide range of firearms (like machine gun, flamethrower or rocket launcher). As we progress, we gain so-called Blood Metal, which allows us to upgrade our weapons and unlock various additions to our suit.
