Truth or Lies is a social game created by the American company Imagination International Corporation. Players have the opportunity to take part in a game similar to a TV show, in which participants have to answer various questions and Artificial Intelligence algorithms analyze their voice for truthfulness or lies.
Truth or Lies, released on X360, PS3 and Wii, is a project developed by Imagination International Corporation, which specializes in board games (Beat the Parents, Battle of the Sexes) and those released on DVD players (Deal or No Deal, Pirates of the Caribbean, Press Your Luck).
The fun is to get caught on a lie. Artificial Intelligence algorithms monitor the voice for changes in intonation, rhythm, volume, clarity and other elements that may indicate that the player isn't telling the truth. The result obtained is accompanied by a commentary by the announcer.
The game was designed primarily for multiplayer. In the party mode, the participants (maximum 8) answer randomly selected questions from a pool of 3 thousand prepared and segregated by the developers in several categories differing, among others, in the degree of intimacy (some are reserved exclusively for adults). In hot-seat mode, the player answers any questions asked by other participants.
Truth or Lies has a simple audio-visual setting. The way the questions are presented is reminiscent of game shows. A console-compatible microphone is required for play (also included in a bundle with the game).
