Tokyo Xtreme Racer is a series of racing games dedicated to street competition in Japan, existing since 1994 and also known under such titles as Tokyo Highway Battle or Shutoko Battle. This project is the first "big" installment in the series in over 18 years (not including titles made for mobile devices). The previous ones were Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2 (PS2) released in 2006. The Japanese studio Genki is responsible for all these games.

Gameplay

Tokyo Xtreme Racer takes us to the near future, featuring Tokyo cut off from the world. We race on the streets of the Japanese capital. More specifically, we gain access to the network of expressways from the city. They have been recreated according to reality and the game offers an open world map. We compete driving dozens of licensed cars - iconic and contemporary models of brands such as Toyota, Nissan, Subaru, Mazda or Suzuki.
