Chums - as this fearsome deity is called - was not pleased with this turn of events. In fact, after a few centuries, he went completely mad, transformed into a bloodthirsty beast. So the brave heroes have no choice but to enter the world of the first Mirror of Mystery and mercifully slaughter Chums. Preferably several times.

Game mechanics

Coiled Captors doesn't change much in of game mechanics. The add-on brings a new story and a dungeon to explore with a unique boss. The expansion's five levels are an expedition through ancient ruins, frozen wastelands and other landscapes absent from the base game. The new locations also feature previously unseen enemies, weapons and equipment, as well as cosmetic items for the heroes.

Of course, the main attraction is Chums, trapped in the body of a shark-like monster. However, defeating him is not easy. Chums has four forms, each stronger than the previous one, which he took on in the weeks following the release.

DLC also encourages to play through the game more than once. For victory over Chums we receive lost souls. These can be used to spin Vespera's wheel of fortune to gain valuable loot like legendary items. All of the new content is also available in the Chaos Chambers - as long as you've already dealt with it as part of the DLC.
