The Smurfs 2: The Prisoner of the Green Stone is an action adventure game based on the popular franchise of comic books and animated shows. It was developed by OSome Studio, also responsible for The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf.
The story begins with Handy Smurf creating a revolutionary invention known as the SmurfoMix. To function, the machine requires the magical Green Stone currently in the possession of Gargamel, which several Smurfs are sent out on a mission to retrieve. The mission ends in disaster as the stone explodes, its energy freeing the Stolas, an evil order which proceeds to wage a campaign of terror throughout the land.
Four Smurfs (Handy Smurf, Brainy Smurf, Clumsy Smurf and Smurfstorm) thus set out on a journey to collect the Green Stone's fragments before their world is plunged into chaos. They make an unexpected ally along the way, that is, Gargamel himself.
The Smurfs 2: The Prisoner of the Green Stone is an action adventure 3D platformer. The player must explore the world, avoid traps, fight enemies and solve puzzles.
The most important mechanic is tied to the SmurfoMix, a gadget used to manipulate the environment, which comes in handy in puzzles, combat and challenges. Players can collect resources throughout the game to upgrade it.
The game s singleplayer and two-player co-op.
