The Sims 4: Horse Ranch is a yet another major expansion to the popular life sim by Electronic Arts. As the name suggests, it's cowboy-themed and introduces an entirely new species of animals to the game - horses.
The Sims 4: Horse Ranch introduces a number of new features to the game. The first is Chestnut Ridge, a new area inspired by the American West. It offers many cowboy-themed activities, such as dance parties, outdoor events and cooking competitions. There's also a new holiday - Animal Day.
The biggest new feature of the DLC by far are horses, atop of which our Sims can explore the area. Each horse has a unique appearance and personality. They can be purchased or created in the family creator.
Players can build relationships with horses and develop their four skills - Temperament, Agility, Jumping, and Endurance. Horses are, of course, living creatures, and so they can grow old and breed.
The DLC also introduces other new animal species - Mini Goats and Mini Sheep. It also implements a Nectar production mechanic.
Horse Ranch is a non-standalone expansion which requires the base version of The Sims 4 to function.
