A social economic strategy in the freemium model, set in the reality of a popular animated series about the adventures of a friendly Simpson family. As a result of Homer's negligence, an explosion takes place at a local power plant, which will blow out of the surface of the earth his hometown Springfield. The player's task is to rebuild the city and restore the old order in it.
The Simpsons: Tapped Out is an economic strategy from the popular "city builder" genre, set in The Simpsons universe. The title is available in a freemium model on AND and iOS mobile devices, and it was developed by EA Mobile studio.
The action of The Simpsons: Tapped Out begins when Homer Simpson, who is at work (at a local nuclear power plant), plays on his tablet a game reminiscent of Tapped Out, while actively using his credit card to purchase more and more microtransactions. Absorbed by the game, the hero neglects his duties, resulting in a power plant breakdown and a powerful explosion that blows away Homer's hometown, Springfield. To repent for his sins, our protagonist must now rebuild the destroyed town and make all its inhabitants return to their homes.
We move to the area of former Springfield. By placing new buildings, we slowly create our virtual version of the town. Homer can gain new levels by making progress in the game and completing story quests unlocking the next buildings known from the series. Along with them, the town is gradually populated by citizens connected with the buildings, e.g. the entire Simpson family and their neighbors, employees of the nuclear power plant or the staff of the primary school in Springfield. Later, we can assign each of these characters to proper duties giving us more virtual currency. The game is from the free-to-play category meaning that it features currency (in the form of Homer's favorite snack - doughnuts) which we can purchase for real cash. The free-to-play model also comes with a whole lot of typical restrictions for this genre.
Like most social city builders, The Simpsons: Tapped Out lets you play alone or invite friends from Facebook, Gmail or your Origin to have fun together (required to start the game). When visiting alternative Springfield versions created by our friends, we can get several useful bonuses, such as dollars, experience points and sometimes even doughnuts.
In of graphics, The Simpsons: Tapped Out on AND and iOS presents a high level. Of course, the game is maintained in the rather characteristic style of the series. An unquestionable attraction for all fans of the friendly family is the presence of numerous buildings and characters, known from the original. Individual characters speak with their original cartoon voices.
