A third-person perspective action game, in which the players assume the role of a man who fights thugs in the dark corners of the city. The protagonist of The Quiet Man eliminates enemies by using his supernatural strength and speed. The game combines scenes recorded by real actors with parts created by using computer graphics.
The Quiet Man is an action game developed by Human Head Studios team and released by Square Enix. The production combines live action scenes. (i.e. those with real actors) and fragments with dynamic gameplay, using computer graphics.
The story told in The Quiet Man takes place overnight. Players take on the role of Dane, a deaf hero following the trail of a masked kidnapper whose victim was a singer. The game was designed in such a way that it can be completed in one evening.
In The Quiet Man the action was shown from the third person perspective (TPP). The game consists of following the plot, as well as wandering through dark streets and duels with the lurking oppressors. The combat system watched over by Tatsuro Koike (director of action scenes in the Yakuza series) is based on leading out brutal attacks (such as kicks, fist punches or even throwing opponents) and combining them into spectacular combinations, as well as the use of instant evades and fast counterattacks.
The Quiet Man has high-quality three-dimensional graphics. The rich facial expressions make an impression, and the gloomy atmosphere in which the story is kept is built by the economical lighting of the location and the dark colors. The sound layer deserves a separate mention - due to the fact that we play as a deaf protagonist, during the play, only muffled sounds reach our ears.

While it misses the mark in general and douses the hopes I had when I first saw the E3 2018 trailer, The Quiet Man does have some value. It’s reasonably priced despite its issues and brevity, and if you’re looking for something a little different, it’s worth a look, just keep your expectations considerably tempered.

There's nothing else quite like The Quiet Man, and there's a reason for that. The blend of FMV and interactive combat sequences fails on every level with an unfathomable plot that raises far more questions than it answers, and encounters that fail to explain themselves and do little to engage. The Quiet Man is the most baffling release of 2018, to the point where a post-mortem investigation into its sheer existence sounds so much more exciting than this bizarre and convoluted comedy sketch.
