Developers from Digital Extremes have drawn their inspirations from games such as Paladins: Champions of the Realm. Thus, The Amazing Eternals for PC is a so-called "hero-shooter", in which they assume the roles of different heroes – each one with unique supernatural skills. Similarly to the last of the aforementioned titles, the superpowers in this game are dependent on the cards one owns within his or her deck built before a match. Using these cards during the game gives the protagonists access to additional abilities and weapons.
