The Addams Family - Mystery Mansion is based on a comic book series created by Charles Addams and its animated adaptation produced and released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studio. The game was developed by the Pixowl studio, with such games as Goosebumps HorrorTown and Peanuts: Snoopy's Town Tale.
