Terminator 2D: No Fate is a platform action game based on the license of the movie Terminator 2: Judgment Day. It was developed by Bitmap Bureau studio, which has similar genre games like Xeno Crisis in its portfolio, while its release was handled by Reef Entertainment.

Story

In of plot, Terminator 2D: No Fate is an adaptation of the second part of the Terminator film series, while enriching the original story with events not presented in the movie. The game allows us to embody three characters.

In the present, we take control over Sarah Connor and T-800, who are fighting with T-1000, trying to stop Skynet's plans for the annihilation of humanity. Apart from that, from time to time we are transported to a post-apocalyptic future, where as John Connor we lead the resistance movement to fight against the machines.

Interestingly, several endings have been implemented in the game, and which one we will see depends on our actions.

Gameplay

In Terminator 2D: No Fate we watch the action from the side. We primarily engage in fight with opponents during the game, among whom we will find both standard enemies and powerful bosses (led by the T-1000).

We eliminate enemies by making use of an arsenal that includes pistols, rifles, and shotguns. Although open combat is a daily bread here, from time to time we also have to sneak behind the enemy's back.

On the list of levels visited by us during the game, we can find both a number of locations known from the movie (like the highway or prison), as well as places not seen before. Authors of the game have recreated iconic scenes from the original film, like the motorcycle chase or Sarah Connor's escape from prison.

In addition to the story campaign, Terminator 2D: No Fate offers a range of other modes: skill, endless, boss rush, mother of the future, and a training module.

Graphics and music

The graphic design of Terminator 2D: No Fate was created using pixel art technique. The game is played to the accompaniment of a soundtrack containing refreshed music from the movie and new songs.
