A colorful puzzle music game from the creators of Unpacking. Tempopo allows us to direct the titular creatures. We must guide them through levels filled with obstacles, leaving them instructions on which routes they should pick and which actions they should perform.

Story

Tempopo is a colorful production on the border of logic and music games. It was developed by the independent studio Witch Beam, which has in its portfolio a similar genre project titled Unpacking.

In Tempopo we watch events in an isometric view.

Completing levels

During the game, our primary goal is to guide the titular creatures through levels filled with obstacles. We need to do this in such a way that our subordinates not only manage to by terrain obstacles, but also recover the flowers placed on them and safely reach the special portals with them.

Controlling the creatures

The gameplay is complicated by the fact that we do not have direct control over the Tempopo. Instead, before we set the creatures in motion, we need to leave them clues in selected places about the directions they should go and what they should do there.

Depending on our instructions, Tempopo can lift and push objects, fill holes in the ground, or break certain surfaces. Even though initially we only give commands to one Tempopo, over time their number increases, and with it the level of difficulty of the challenges we need to face. This last factor is also influenced by the fact that the success of the mission often depends on the order in which the individual creatures carry out our commands.

Trial and error gameplay

When we feel that all the clues are already in place, we can set Tempopo in motion and check how we did. Failures are quite a common occurrence here, but immediate restarts encourage us to try again.

Story

Tempopo tells the story of Hana, whose musical flowers were scattered across the sky. The task of retrieving them and placing them in the protagonist's garden falls to mischievous, amusing, and somewhat clumsy creatures known as Tempopo.
