A science fiction RTS inspired by the Command & Conquer series. In Tempest Rising we find ourselves in the middle of a conflict between the Global Defense Force and Tempest Dynasty factions, fighting for control over Earth. The game offers two story campaigns and an extensive multiplayer mode.
Tempest Rising is an RTS inspired by the giants of the genre, especially by the Rad Rodgers), while its release was handled by THQ Nordic and 3D Realms companies.
In Tempest Rising the action is viewed in an isometric view. The game provides us with two playable factions, each with its own economy and unique set of units, as well as fighting in a different way. Battles take place on vast maps. We gather resources (primarily the titular Tempest), build and strengthen our base, and recruit units (from infantry to heavy combat vehicles) to send them into combat. We can also find neutral forces guarding valuable buildings on the map, waiting to be taken over.
The pillar of Tempest Rising are two story campaigns, each consisting of eleven missions. They allow us to take control over the troops of the Global Defense Force or the Tempest Dynasty. The game also offers an extensive multiplayer mode, allowing both single skirmishes and ranked games, in which a maximum number of 4 players can participate (2 vs 2).
Tempest Rising presents us with a bleak vision of the future. After the nuclear conflict, which turned the whole world we know upside down, the war for influence did not end at all. The globe is now overgrown with mysterious Tempest vines, over which feuding factions are fighting for control. The Global Defense Force and the Tempest Dynasty, both embroiled in conflict, are yet unaware that the Earth is in great danger, related to the true origin of the Tempest.
Tempest Rising was released in both standard and Deluxe editions. In addition to the game, the second one offers a soundtrack and an artbook. It also allows for early access to play a week before the cheaper edition.

Tempest Rising Review: A commanding presence
While Tempest Rising may not reinvent the genre, it provides a strong foundation that helps shape it for future iterations.
PPE.pl: 6.5 / 10 by Maciej Zabłocki
Tempest Rising is a game lifted alive from the 1990s, but with contemporary ambitions and modern visuals. Unfortunately, my heart, as a Red Alert 2 fan, took a very uneven beating at times. Despite the beautiful packaging and solid foundation, too many minor flaws and untapped potentials weigh on this strategy. However, for a fan of classic RTSs - this is still an item worth checking out.
Loot Level Chill: 8 / 10 by Chris White
Tempest Rising is a call-back to the wonder years of the RTS, but does more than enough to bring titles like that into the present day.
The Nerd Stash: 9 / 10 by Julio La Pine
Tempest Rising is clearly inspired by the good old RTS days of the 90s and early 2000s, but it has so many unique features and high-quality additions that makes this game feel original and innovative.
