Tales of VS is a 2D anime style fight produced by Namco. The action of the game was set in the fantastic world of Dailantia. The player takes on the role of a warrior and participates in the Yggdrasill Battle tournament, where the main prize is the precious fruit from the World Tree. There are 35 heroes to choose from, each of which has unique special blows and combinations.

Tales of VS is one of the side versions of the well-known series of Japanese RPG games. Unlike most other parts of the cycle, the title focuses only on combat. Namco Bandai is responsible for the creation of this work.

Tales of VS takes us to the world known as Dailantia, where the key source of precious energy is mana produced by World Tree. A tree is only able to bear fruit once every three years. During this event, called Great Harvest, a fierce battle for a valuable product begins. In order to solve the dispute in a more civilized way, a special tournament - Yggdrasill Battle - is created, which can be ed by warriors of interested parties and completely independent persons.

A total of 35 personalities from 13 different games of the series enter the big tournament. Both positive heroes and negative characters are present. The game features such people as the mysterious Shing Meteoryte (Tales of Hearts), the unshakeable Yuri Lowell (Tales of Vesperia), the extremely wise Richter Abend (Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World) and Prince Luke fon Fabre (Tales of the Abyss).
