FPS designed for co-op mode. In Starship Troopers: Extermination we play as soldiers whose task is to reclaim the fallen colonies located on the planet Valaka. To do this, they must send hordes of bloodthirsty bugs to the sand.
Starship Troopers: Extermination is a multiplayer FPS based on the license of the movie Starship Troopers. The game was developed by indie studio Offworld Industries, known for such genre-related games as Beyond the Wire.
In Starship Troopers: Extermination we play as soldiers from the elite Deep Space Vanguard squad, who arrive on the planet Valaka, overrun by Arachnids. Our main task is the title extermination of hordes of bloodthirsty bugs. For only in this way will we be able to regain the fallen colonies belonging to the United Citizen Federation.
In Starship Troopers: Extermination we observe the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). Before starting the game, we choose the character class we are interested in; at our disposal are assault, and defense soldiers. Then there is nothing left for us to do but to throw ourselves into the action.
The game takes place on a vast map, on which we find five unique biomes. In the course of it we perform the tasks set before us; in addition to the main missions, various side objectives await us. Completing them is not easy, as we are constantly hindered by whole hoards of enemies. We fight with various types of Arachnids, making use of firearms (led by the Morita assault rifle) and various combat gadgets. Enemies outnumber us considerably, and as time goes by, the threat from them only grows, as bigger and more dangerous adversaries enter the action. As if that weren't enough, after completing the main task we still have to reach the point from which we will be evacuated in one piece.
All this makes close cooperation with the other of the squad the key to success here. In addition, our chances of victory are increased by recapturing bases and refineries and erecting fortifications. To build the latter, however, we need raw materials, for which we often have to venture deep into enemy territory.
As we progress, we develop the protagonists, unlocking new perks and supplying them with increasingly better equipment.
Starship Troopers: Extermination was designed for co-op mode. At the same time, 12 players take part in the struggle with Arachnids, who together in teams of four. Communication is facilitated by a special Ping system, which allows to quickly inform the team about important points on the map, targets and the approaching threat.
Starship Troopers: Extermination features graphics of decent quality, which, ittedly, does not stand out, but at the same time does not deviate from genre standards.

Game Ratings for Starship Troopers: Extermination Video Game.
Gaming Nexus: 6 / 10 by Jason Dailey
Starship Troopers: Extermination on console puts the rough in Roughnecks. Technical issues, poor crossplay implementation, and frustratingly chaotic gameplay design leave much to be desired.
IGN: 6 / 10 by Jarrett Green
In the Space Imperialist vs Alien war for your attention, Starship Troopers: Extermination brings a knife to a nuke fight. It’s a shooter you and some friends can find fun in, especially in its tough Horde mode using its simple-yet-distinct classes that help focus the overall large-scale bug-blasting vision. But you’re doing so in spite of how long it takes to unlock all the more interesting gear and abilities those classes have in store, how uncoordinated some of the multiplayer modes are, how downright bad the single-player campaign is, how barren the handful of available maps feel, and the lack of biodiversity in the bug swarm. It’s a serviceable battle that can get frantic in the thick of it, but there are far more noble causes to give your virtual lives for in 2024 than this.

Starship Troopers: Extraction is an amazing experience, but it isn’t perfect. The graphics are not great, the enemy AI has weird behaviours where they will run at you and almost clip and jump around making them very hard to hit and the bugs get stuck on the environment a lot but that does not take away from the boat loads of fun i am having.
