South Park: Chef's Luv Shack is a social game combining a quiz and arcade mini-games. Playing the roles of Eric Cartman, Kenny McCormick, Kyle Broflovski or Stan Marsh, the player has to answer questions related to the South Park series, as well as play simple mini-games. The title was produced by the Acclaim Studios Austin development team.
South Park: Chef's Luv Shack is a proposal of Acclaim Entertainment addressed to fans of the animated series South Park (in Poland aired under the title Miasteczko South Park). The production was created with consoles in mind, but there is also a port for PCs.
The game has no storyline layer. Instead, the player has the opportunity to become the favourite heroes of the series and test their knowledge about it. The game combines elements of a quiz with arcade mini-games.
The participant's task is to answer questions about the series South Park. For giving the correct answer, the player gains points, and for the wrong one - he loses. The final result can be improved by scoring records in more than 20 crazy mini-games, some of which are parodies of such hits as Donkey Kong, Asteroids, Tapper and Paperboy.
The game was designed mainly for multiplayer gameplay. Unlike console versions, however, the PC port does not have multiplayer mode. Instead, the developers tried to implement artificial intelligence scripts, which plays the role of the opponent.
South Park Audiovisual: Chef's Luv Shack is in cartoon style. Fans of the series should not have the slightest problems with recognizing the silhouettes of their favorites. The creators also took care of the humorous dialogues uttered by the actors dubbing the series.
