Skytorn is an action-adventure platform game developed by Noel Berry, an independent Canadian developer who was involved in the development of such games as Night in the Woods and TowerFall: Ascension. Skytorn takes us to a post-apocalyptic world where what was left of mankind lives on islands drifting above the clouds. Search for the lost, survival-ensuring artifacts of the past led many adventurers to the underground dungeons.
Skytorn for PC and PS4 is a retro platform game that takes place in a procedurally generated world. An independent Canadian developer Neol Berry who worked on games like Towerfall: Ascension and Night in the Woods created it.
The game takes place in a postapocaliptic world made of islands floating somewhere above the clouds. What was lef of mankind managed to survive there by using the technology from the past. In search for the necessary supplies and resources, many adventurers were forced to explore the underground dungeons filled with monsters. We play as one of them. Our heroine is equipped only with a shovel that she uses to fend off many creatures on her way.
Gameplay in Skytorn for PC and PS4 focuses on the exploration of the game’s dangerous world. During our adventures we will explore not only the floating islands, but also dungeons hidden deep underground. Our heroine’s basic weapon is a shovel, but it is not just a simple gardening tool. On our way, we will find many magical upgrades which will allows us to, for example, strike enemies with lightning. From time to time we will also end up in small settlements where we can rest and replenish our supplies.
Skytorn for PC and PS4 has oldschool, pixelart visuals similar to old 16-bit games like Metroid. Due to the fact that each playthrough happens in a completely different, procedurally generated world, every time we play Skytorn we will have completely new adventures and challenges.
