Shrouded Aspect

Shrouded Aspect is a classic RPG, drawing inspirations from both the giants of the genre, as well as from Celtic mythology and medieval folklore. The game was developed by the independent studio Gilligames, which has Rising Star 2 and a much smaller project Nine-Slicer in its portfolio.

Gameplay

A story shaped by choices

During the game, we lead a team of heroes who explore the land and accomplish quests, following one of the various paths leading to different endings. The game has implemented branching scenarios, and what our adventures look like along the way, as well as the fate of our protagonists and the entire world surrounding them, largely depends on our actions and the choices we make.

Turn-based combat and permanent death

Fighting opponents also plays an important role here. Combat take place in turn-based mode, on arenas covered with a grid of hexagonal fields. We must not only skillfully juggle the characters' abilities and position them on the battlefield, but also pay close attention to their health bars. The death of a given companion is permanent. If it happens, we must decide whether to return to the previous game save, or accept the consequences of our mistakes.

Team and their development

The loss of any characters can be painful, because each of them has their own personality and story to tell. They also have their individual sets of abilities and strengths. Of course, there is no shortage of opportunities for the development of our team . Their combat potential increases as progress is made.
