Shining Force EXA is another item in a series of Far Eastern games, combining elements of the cRPG genre and tactics. The cycle started in 1992 on the 16-bit Mega Drive platform, but with the development of technology it was transferred to the PlayStation 2 console. SFE is the third installment of the saga, dedicated to this machine from Sony's stable.

A bitter war between two world superpowers has raged on for decades with armies of beasts and demons devastating the people and the land.
