A hybrid of a city builder and a real-time strategy. Roman Triumph: Survival City Builder allows us to build an ancient Roman city. We must take care not only of the economy, but also focus on defense, building fortifiactions and sending soldiers to fight hordes of barbarians and mythical creatures sent by the angry gods.
Roman Triumph: Survival City Builder is a game on the border of city builders and RTS titles. It was developed by the independent Canadian studio Coreffect Interactive, which has a fairly unique project Chess with Lasers in its portfolio.
In Roman Triumph: Survival City Builder we watch the action from a bird's eye view.
The game takes us to ancient Rome and allows us to become the ruler of a city located on the outskirts of the empire. Our task is not only to build a thriving metropolis from scratch, but also to ensure the safety of its residents.
During the game, we are engaged in gathering resources, cultivating land, breeding animals, making food, creating increasingly complex production lines, as well as erecting buildings. Structures in the game can be both civilian and military in nature.
The needs of our citizens also remain significant, which we need to take care of in order to earn their satisfaction, and consequently - efficient work. News of our successes will spread quickly, attracting more residents. The game also allows us to establish trade relations with other metropolises.
Available defensive structures include defensive walls surrounding our settlement, towers, and ballistas. They play an extremely important role, as our city is struggling with dangers in the form of hordes of barbarians, which are growing in strength over time.
Although initially the construction of fortifications is sufficient to ensure the safety of the developing metropolis, over time we face the necessity of deploying an army capable of repelling enemy attacks. We can hire soldiers fighting in close combat, as well as archers keeping enemies at a distance.
This is not the end, as gods can also pose a threat to our citizens. In order to satisfy them, we must build temples, make sacrifices, and worship them, as well as act according to the rules they have established. Otherwise, the pantheon may start sending us more cataclysms, destroying crops, "bombarding" the city with lightning, infecting residents with deadly diseases, and also releasing mythical beasts like the Hydra, Minotaur or Cerberus onto our lands.
