RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile is a strategy and economic game available on mobile platforms (iOS/Android), based on the cult series known from PC. The title is a kind of reactivation of the franchise, the last version of which appeared in 2006 and is a foreshadowing of a full-fledged continuation of the RollerCoaster Tycoon World series, created for PC. The game was developed by On5, so far known mainly from simple mobile games.

Mechanics

Following the ideas of the series, RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile puts us in the role of a manager of an amusement park, and our task is to create more attractions that will attract potential customers and earn us money. The fun begins with the construction of simple attractions, shops with food and drinks and the first modest rollercoaster. As we progress and gain experience, we unlock more attractions, the construction of which costs much more, but the money earned from the tickets quickly compensate the expenses.

In addition to setting up merry-go-rounds, slides and rollercoasters, as well as collecting revenues from tickets, we also have to deal with various faults and breakdowns, which temporarily exclude particular attractions from use. Over time, we must also take care of the proper decoration of our park by planting trees and putting benches and various decorations. Unlike the full-fledged PC versions of the RollerCoaster Tycoonseries, RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile lacks full freedom in deg the park and its successive attractions. Instead, we have to follow tasks assigned to us.

Technical aspects

In of graphics, RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile is on an average level, typical for mobile city-builders, although the graphics are pleasing to the eye and do their job just fine. The game made its debut as a paid product, which after the purchase allowed for at most 45 minutes of free play, after that time forcing players to spend money on microtransactions. Due to the wave of criticism, the creators decided to move to the classic free-to-play model, in which the game is ed completely free of charge, and the time needed to build and repair individual attractions can be shortened by using the currency purchased for real cash.
