A puzzle game developed for mobile devices as continuation of 90’s Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. It has been developed by Japanese company Capcom.
Puzzle Fighter is a sequel to the Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, released for mobile devices, including PC, PS4 and etc.. It is an unusual puzzle game and the work of a well-known Japanese company Capcom – it focuses on duels based on relatively simple puzzles.
The gameplay of PC, PS4 and etc.’s Puzzle Fighter start with choosing our fighter. There are many heroes available from other Capcom’s franchises, like Dead Rising. Each warrior has different powers and modifiers that affect how they play. After selecting our pick, all that’s left is to fight against artificial intelligence or other players.
Duels themselves are carried out by means of puzzles based on rather simple rules, though that doesn’t make battles trivial at all. One window shows colorful blocks falling from above, and the other depicts fighter. Our task is to manipulate blocks so they form a figure of one color. If we succeed, they disappear and our warrior performs an attack that damages an opponent.
Puzzle Fighter for PC, PS4 and etc. uses simple, but good-looking visuals. Heroes were designed like characters of Japanese manga, clearly visible despite three-dimensional models. Controls make complete use of features offered by touchscreen.
