A sequel to a third-person perspective RPG from 2021. Outward 2 offers an open fantasy world, as well as survival elements. The game features a high difficulty level. It can be played in singleplayer mode or with other players using split screen or online coop.
Outward 2 is the second installment of the open-world RPG series with survival elements, launched GoD Factory: Wingmen).
The action of Outward 2 is set in a fantasy land called Aurai. We watch the gameplay from a third-person perspective (TPP) and take on the role of a self-created character who travels the world, gets to know its inhabitants, and carries out various quests.
Along the way, we have to engage in arcade battles with opponents of a high level of difficulty, fighting in close quarters. One of the newly introduced features is the ability to use two weapons at once. We can also count on combat skills or ritual magic. There is also the requirement to take care of basic needs, including eating and drinking regularly, plays an important role, otherwise we may fall victim to hunger or various diseases.
As we progress, we develop our hero or heroine, unlocking new skills and improving those already possessed (there's now a new exercise tree), as well as acquiring better equipment (which we find, buy or produce ourselves).
The authors made an effort to make the game world seem alive. To achieve this effect, random events and encounters with residents were implemented, as well as variable seasons that affect both the protagonist and NPCs. The cycle of day and night is also in the game.
Like the first installment of the series, the game does not guide us (we navigate the world independently, using a map) and does not allow us to save the game state at any time (the program takes care of it automatically). The latter means that every decision we make is final and cannot be reversed. Furthermore, our actions and choices lead to various endings.
Outward 2 can be played alone, in online coop or using split screen.

Nine Dots Studio released today a trailer for the RPG Outward 2. As the developers assure, the sequel is expected to be much better than the first part of this open-world adventure.
