Game mechanics

The action in Oddyssey is observed from an isometric view, and the gameplay itself is divided into several segments. We explore the space in order to collect resources. On our way we come across, for example, asteroids, in which we can dig, gaining valuable resources used both as fuel for our ship, but also material needed to construct new and more efficient tools. In space you'll also encounter alien technology of all sorts, which you can study to learn something new or improve on what you already know. At the same time, other crew can focus on expanding the ship by building additional rooms, or take the helm to avoid colliding with asteroids, or even take on the fight against attacking aliens.

Proper management of the crew is key, because each of them not only can acquire an unpleasant status affecting the speed of carrying out assigned tasks, but also if we trivialize the symptoms and leave the folk to themselves, there is a chance that he will end his life. ittedly, in such a case we wake up one of the two million engers, whose genes can be further modified to teach them new abilities, but it may turn out that this one will still have worse statistics than our lost protégé.

In the game we have to take care not only of the crew , but also our ship, which more than once will have to be repaired for various reasons, such as after with an asteroid.
