The 15th DLC for the popular strategy made by Shiro Games (creators of Wartales and Dune: Spice Wars). Northgard: Gardariki, Clan of the Hippogriff expansion features new units (Varangian Guard), new objects (including a forge and a Brazier) and a new artifact (it unlocks the catapult).

Northgard: Gardariki, Clan of the Hippogriff is the 15th expansion to the warmly received 2018 strategy titled Dune: Spice Wars in its portfolio.

New content in the expansion

As the title suggests, Northgard: Gardariki, Clan of the Hippogriff focuses on the Hippogriff clan, also known as Gardariki.

Clan leader, forge and artifact

The clan's leader is Sindri - the eldest representative of the Brok and Eitri family, who returns from the Southern Lands. Thanks to Sindri's profession, one of the main objects in the clan settlement is his forge, where he can create equipment for units, as well as work on a powerful artifact.

Forging the artifact gives us access to a catapult, which despite a limited range has considerable firepower, making it perfect for besieging enemy bases.

Brazier and Varangian Guard

Another important place in the Gardariki settlement is the Brazier. Its flames accelerate the production of resources. The effects of these objects can be enhanced by organizing traditional Nordic feasts (for which we don't need food, but wood).

The icing on the cake are the new units, namely the Varangian Guard. We develop soldiers of this type in guard camps, which we can eventually Varangian camps. Their main advantage is durability, although they can also hit encountered enemies hard.
