Night is an adventure game created in 1996 by Avalon Computer Laboratory. The player plays the role of a hero whose task is to find friends lost in another reality - to do this you will have to travel in time.
Before starting the fight, the program allows you to choose a hero who will set off on a rescue mission. The first one is a not very intelligent but very strong butcher, while the second one is a computer burglar, showing completely opposite features. Both gentlemen will face a number of puzzles of a logical nature, which will wait for them on their way to the successful completion of the game, but, interestingly, in some cases they will solve them in diametrically different ways. Hacker prefers definitely more sophisticated methods, but this is not the rule - if you choose a butcher you will also need to think solidly.
The program communicates with the via a set of commands, just like in LucasArts adventure games using the SCUMM interface. We give orders by selecting an appropriate action and then pointing the cursor at the object located on the board. The night as a traditional representative of the genre allows you to collect objects, manipulate them and talk to the characters you meet. The game is relatively brutal and certainly cannot be recommended to younger amateurs of adventures (at the beginning of the struggle it will be required to kill the sleeping guard with an axe).
Graphics for 1996 does not impress. In the game we will see a three-dimensional background and a wall flat character of the main character. Some activities are rewarded with short animations, but they are not the highest flights either. On the other hand, the soundtrack makes a much better impression, especially the music accompanying the struggle.
