Two-dimensional beat 'em up with randomly generated locations. During the game we find ourselves in a ruined castle, where the evil forces spread. Our task is first of all to get rich and at the same time to do something good for others.
Lost Castle is an independent game developed by Hunter Studio. It is a small developer operating originally only in China. After the success of the game on the local market, the team established cooperation with Another India - publisher of such projects as Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption and Legrand Legacy: Tale of the Fatebounds, which launched the project in other countries.
The title castle, formerly known as Harwood, was the center of a wonderful and wisely ruled land. One day, the situation changed as the building and nearby lands were captured by the forces of evil. No one in their right mind dares to go there anymore, but inside the ruined castle there are treasures that attract scores of brave men. Maybe one of them will be able to do something good at the same time?
Lost Castle is a two-dimensional beat'em up in the style of the popular Castle Crashers. The title draws some elements from other genres, including roguelike. The players travel through randomly generated dungeons where they meet a variety of opponents and powerful bosses. The game is quite difficult and surprising, but the developers have taken care of a friendly progression system so that dying many times is not frustrating. During the game, we gain points, which we spend after death on hero improvements, e.g. increased attack power. In addition, the game is full of different weapons (more than 150 items) and equipment (more than 50 items), which are not available from the very beginning. Lost Castle encourages us to repeat our adventure, so each time we overcome the challenges, new gadgets are unlocked.
Lost Castle is the best game for co-op experience. The co-op mode is ed by up to three people playing with the host. We can fight monsters together with our friends both locally and online. However, the game also enables us to play solo.
In of visuals, Lost Castle offers a decent level of quality. The main advantage is the cartoonish graphic style. Characters and enemies look funny, and some also use funny weapons, like a small dragon that breathes fire or a fish.
