Kirby's Blowout Blast is an extended version of Kirby 3D Rumble minigame from Kirby which is one of Nintendo's main franchises. The game is available on Nintendo 3DS.
The gameplay in Kirby 3D Rumble is based on traveling through 3D levels in which we must eliminate many enemies and collect coins in a shortest amount of time. Kirby's Blowout Blast is based on the same rules, but the levels are now more complex, with additional enemies and bosses.
The gameplay itself is similar to normal entries in the series; however, this time the main focus is on fights. The main character, a pink creature called Kirby, can swallow enemies and then spit them out at others. Time is important in Kirby's Blowout Blast, which means that players need to have good reflex during fights. Enemies move in certain directions and usually there are two, three or even more characters in our line of fire. If we "shoot" at the right moment we can eliminate all of them, which saves us time and allows to get more points. Style, in which we defeat our enemies, also influences on our end score. The game gives additional points for accuracy and rewards combos – eliminating enemies one after another.
We can get one of three ranks, bronze, silver and gold, on more than 25 levels. Kirby's Blowout Blast encourages players to replay the levels and master them. In addition to that we can also unlock "EX levels" which are even more challenging.
Kirby 3D Rumble was the first 3D Kirby game. Kirby's Blowout Blast is also made in this style and even though the graphics are not that different the game overall looks good.
