Kiosk is a production on the borderline of culinary simulators? and narrative adventure games, maintained in the atmosphere of psychological horror. Behind the development of this item is an independent Serbian developer Vivi, which has in its portfolio a completely different project in of mechanics and aesthetics - Gnomdom.
In the game Kiosk we find ourselves in the title fast food kiosk, where we came to work on the night shift. As we replaced a former employee who disappeared in mysterious circumstances, our task is not only to serve customers, but also to solve the mystery behind the disappearance of our predecessor.
In Kiosk, we view the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). During the game, our fast food is visited by various characters that we have to serve, selling them cold and hot drinks, as well as preparing meals for them.
We prepare individual (and not very sophisticated) dishes from scratch, cutting vegetables and other ingredients and cooking and frying them. The whole process requires us to use a knife, as well as to use other pieces of kitchen equipment - from a coffee maker to a deep fryer to a grill.
The specifics of what happened to our predecessor are not handed to us on a platter. Instead, we need to listen carefully to what our customers have to say, as each line of dialogue may contain snippets of information of interest.
The graphic design of the Kiosk game is kept in a retro style, inspired by games from the beginning of the first decade of the 21st century.
