K-Point Ski Jumping is a low-budget ski jumping simulator. It was developed by one programmer, similarly to the cycle which inspired Marcin Dzienniak, the creator of the game. The author's goal was to convey the spirit of the Deluxe Ski Jump series and to offer players large decks of playability, despite uncomplicated mechanics or simple graphics.

Mechanics

The game is controlled only with the mouse and the camera is placed on the side, just like in the cult cycle Deluxe Ski Jump. To make a good jump, the player must bounce at the right time, control the character in flight, considering the strength and direction of the wind, and then land well, preferably with a telemark to get the highest marks from the judges. The player takes into the same factors as in reality. The jumps, which can be performed in four different styles, take place on 34 hills modelled on real objects.

K-Point Ski Jumping offers a varied list of tournaments where you gain morale, experience points and money. The money has to be spent on coaches and training to improve a ski jumper's skills. This is important because success allows you to sign better sponsorship contracts, thanks to which you can buy the better equipment or luxury goods in the store, such as an expensive car or a dream home.

Game modes

K-Point Ski Jumping is a single player game. The game offers only an extended career mode, in which the ski jumper starts in the junior summer cup competitions and ends with the highest achievements in the winter cup, the Winter Olympics or the equivalent of the Four Hills Tournament.

Technical aspects

K-Point Ski Jumping offers a poor menu and a simple visual setting, as befits a low-budget game. Nevertheless, the game offers a various weather effects.
