Riders of Rohan is a strategy game set in Srodmiescie - a world created by the famous fantasy writer J.R.R. Tolkien. The plot of the programme refers to the novel The Lord of the Rings, or more precisely to its second part, entitled Two Towers. The player will lead Rohan's troops and repel the attacks of the evil sorcerer Saruman.

The player will lead Rohan's troops and repel the attacks of the evil sorcerer Saruman.
The action of the game abounds in events and characters known from the book's prototype. Legolas, Aragorn and Gimli will appear, chasing Saruman's minions, while in the forest of Fangorn the Gandalf will be reborn, which will contribute to the restoration of the prestige of the court in Edoras and liberate King Theoden from the influence of the evil Gima. In addition, we will witness the Ent rally on Isengard, the defense of Helmowy Jaru and the countless battles in the field that the Rohirimas fought with orcs and Uruk-Hai.
The game takes place in real time, the speed of which can be reduced or increased as needed. The main field of action is the map of Rohan - it is here that we move our troops, decide to visit key gameplay sites and concentrate our strength before an increased enemy attack. After the meeting of two armies there is a battle, which we can play completely independently (choice of tactics, full freedom in planning the attack) or rely on the mercy of a computer, which will calculate the probability of victory and inform about the player's result, serving a handful of statistics. In order not to be boring, the programme also included short arcade sequences. These include archery at enemy soldiers approaching our positions, one-on-one combat with a representative of the enemy army, and a battle with the magic that the Gandalf will carry out with the Nazi regulations.
Riders of Rohan is not very complicated and after a few trial games you can develop simple tactics that will lead to victory. The basis is the right choice of forces for the approaching danger. It should also be ed that Saruman's troops have a numerical advantage, so it is better to defend oneself than to attack frontline. The extensive characteristics of all the troops in the game, which can be viewed at any time, will certainly help to plan effective actions. Riders of Rohan is a product that allows you to see the tactics of the events described in the third book of The Lord of the Rings. Pleasant visual setting, events taken directly from the novel, simplicity of gameplay and good playability make the game interesting both for those who missed this type of games from afar and hardcore strategists, although the others will not find much to do here.
