An arcade-puzzle game tasking us with leading crowds of people through complex stages. Humanity was created by Tha and Enhance, also responsible for Tetris Effect and Rez Infinite.
Humanity is a combination of a puzzle and arcade game, tasking us with controlling hordes of people at once. The game, somewhat reminiscent of the iconic Rez Infinite, and the company Tha.
Humanity is set at the edge of the world, serving as a prison of sorts of those who have lost their sense of purpose. We play as a Shiba Inu, leading the crowds towards the pillars of light, their last chance of salvation. The task is not simple, as our people will encounter many dangers, including the hostile Others; though there is still a chance to peacefully resolve the conflict between them.
Humanity makes use of the top-down perspective. We directly control the dog, giving the crowd simple commands. By barking, we order then to jump (often against the laws of physics), turn, climb, shoot or fight. Over the course of more than 90 abstract stages, we must avoid obstacles, traps, threats and deal with enemies. The player must exhibit good planning, reflexes and agility to succeed. As for the enemies - aside from hostile groups we'll also encounter bosses, defeating which requires us to uncover their weak points.
The game includes a creator, used to create your own maps, puzzles and scenes. Our work can then be shared with the community.
Humanity makes use of a low poly artstyle. The graphics are simple, but colorful and appealing, the sheer density of controllable crowds being especially impressive. The game s VR, though it is not required.

Game Ratings for Humanity Video Game.
COGconnected: 85 / 100 by Jaz Sagoo
Humanity is weird and wonderful. Like all great puzzlers, its premise is simple and the challenge steadily grows. THA Limited continues to innovate throughout the entirety of the game and manages to couple each triumph with jubilation. The odd difficulty spike may leave you perplexed, and a hint system rather than a complete solution would have been beneficial, however, this puzzler is one of the best in recent times and is a must for fans of the genre.
Game Informer: 8.5 / 10 by Wesley LeBlanc
Humanity strikes a delicate balance between challenging me at every turn and allowing me to feel like the god its narrative props me up to be. It’s an imaginative experience that provides a rush I imagine computer programmers feel when dozens of commands and lines of code finally work together to create a desired outcome. Its puzzles come wrapped in a beautiful package, from its minimalist visuals to its excellent clicky electronic beats. And best of all, these elements work together to emphasize a simple but effective message about what it means to be human and why life’s most intricate puzzles are easiest to solve when we work together.
GamingTrend: 90 / 100 by Jack Zustiak
Humanity is vast, clever, inventive, and eclectic. It constantly proposes new ideas that redefine the basic experience into a grand design of puzzle mechanics that are just as fun to experiment with as they are to think about. While its best-laid plans have some faults, it all works out in the end. You couldn't ask for a better reflection of humanity than Humanity.
